| Band Notes: October 27, 2001 - The Westbrook High School Marching Band took first place in Division 2 at two United States Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) field marching competitions on Saturday in Connecticut. The highlight of the day was the evening performance where Westbrook scored at the top of the list at the 21st annual US Coast Guard Academy's Windjammer Music Festival in Groton, Connecticut. Westbrook successfully defended its first place finish from a year ago. In the afternoon, Westbrook took first place at the East Lyme Connecticut band competition. The marching band competed against bands from Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey. |
