Who are we?

A group of parents, grandparents, alumni, and friends (past and present) of Westbrook music students with the goal of enhancing the music experience of children in the Westbrook school system. We also now include two current Westbrook High School student liaisons!

What do we do?

Raise money for all music student activities (band and choral) in all Westbrook school system grades.
Assist in music related activities when needed (festivals, concerts, and shows).
Advocate for music education in our schools.

Mission Statement

Westbrook Music Boosters (WMB) is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit all-volunteer group comprised of Westbrook School District parents and community members. WMB supports and promotes music education throughout grades K-12, serving the needs of our student musicians and music faculty. WMB maintains a positive, close, and effective relationship between the music faculty, district administration, and the community. WMB aims to fulfill its mission through the following objectives:

1. Providing music appreciation and performance opportunities for students.

2. Promoting music education opportunities through summer camp and instructional scholarships.

3. Funding music programs/classroom needs (e.g. music technology, concert attire, and show props) that would not otherwise receive support through the school budget.

4. Ensuring music education opportunities for students in financial need, and encouraging active parent, teacher, and community involvement.

How to get involved:

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM in the Westbrook High School
