Fundraising

IT'S EASY TO HELP!

 

There are many ways to help with fundraising that involve little to no time commitment!

​

  • Come to our shows and look for our booth for musical instrument lapel/jacket pins, "W" car magnets, support buttons (click here for examples), and cookbooks. Look to our calendar for event dates/times.
     

  • Pick up some pre-marked Clynk Bags from the music rooms at your school and bring your returnables to Hannaford. All money goes to the Boosters!
     

  • Please feel free to share any other ideas you have for fundraising opportunities through our Contact page. We'd love to hear them!

Advocacy

ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS?

 

We all know how much our children enjoy and benefit from the music programs,and how much pleasure we get from watching them participate. It’s time to let Westbrook know how amazing these programs are!

 

Spread the Word:
 

  • Talk with friends about Westbrook music events and invite them to attend one with you.
     

  • Mention a great performance to your principal.
     

  • Write a letter to the editor of your local paper about the positive impact the music program has had on your child, the school and the community.

Make A Statement:
 

  • How has music changed or improved your child’s life?
     

  • Why is music a vital part of your child’s education?
     

  • Let your children write about what music means to them!
     

  • Share your thoughts with your school, the Superintendent, the School Board, the City Council, local papers or websites.
    ​

  • Attend city council and school board meetings. What issues are discussed? How might they impact the music program? If it’s not clear, ask questions.

Wish List

Here are a few things on our wish list that would make an immediate impact:

  • Used Instruments: The Westbrook Music Boosters welcomes the donation of gently used instruments which can be used by students who are not able to purchase their own. If you have an instrument to donate, please contact us to make arrangements for pickup/drop-off.

  • Volunteer to help out at home shows/events.

  • Share fundraising ideas.

  • Attend Music Booster meetings.
     

  • Join a committee. Contact us to learn more.

  • Join the Marching Band Pit Crew.

​

  • Help with alterations of Marching Band uniforms.

​

  • Share pictures and videos of Westbrook music events with this web site.

  • Send in baked goods for students on event days.

  • Connect with local businesses who would like to support our amazing music program.
