Jazz All-State Audition Results!

Jazz All-State audition results were announced last week. Congratulations to the following students:

Simon Webber - Jazz Combo, receiving the top overall score in the state for piano.

Isaac Benn - Honors Jazz Band, 3rd chair trombone (3rd overall score in the state for trombone).

Ashton Kinney - Jazz Band, 1st chair trumpet (7th overall score in the state for trumpet)

Shaelie Kiefer - Jazz Band, 4th chair trumpet (10th overall score in the state for trumpet)

Anthony Vasquez - Mixed Choir

Lucas Benedict - Mixed Choir

Isaac Benn wins MBDA scholarship

At the MBDA Marching Band Finals on Saturday 10/29 at Waterhouse Field in Biddeford, scholarship recipients for the Alfred Yesue Memorial Scholarship were announced. This scholarship is given out annually since 2011 to two graduating seniors who participate in a band program from one of the member schools of the Maine Band Directors Association.

Westbrook students have previously been awarded this scholarship 5 times.

We are proud to announce that our very own Isaac Benn becomes the latest recipient from Westbrook to receive this scholarship. Congratulations Isaac!
