At Monday's 5th Grade concert, Phil Rich was recognized for 37 years of teaching in the Westbrook School Department in a variety of roles. He was given a plaque, a t-shirt with all of the current Westbrook music students and a bouquet of flowers. A new award was also created in his name for Outstanding 5th Grade Musicians. He will be retiring at the end of this school year.

Best of luck Mr. Rich on your retirement! And thank you on behalf of all music parents for all you have done for our children to make them better musicians over the years.

I've had the pleasure of attending the 5th grade (Monday) and 7th & 8th grade (Tuesday) concerts this week. They were both excellent! And it was so nice to be able to see the young musicians playing music for the first time in front of a crowd in 889 days (this is Mrs. Smith's calculation). Video recordings will be available soon on our video archive page: https://www.westbrookmusicboosters.org/video-archives-2018-2022. You can also see the live stream recording on the Westbrook School Department Facebook page.

Tonight is the 6th grade's turn. 7pm at WMS PAC.

Congratulations for an exceptional performance by this years All-State Concert Band at the Collins Center for the Arts (University of Maine in Orono)! Westbrook added four members to the band, including: Ashton Kinney (Trumpet), Shaelie Kiefer (French Horn), Angelina DiBiase (Bass Clarinet), and Maxim LaPlante (Flute). If you missed the performance and would like to see it for yourself, here are links to each song:

Or you can find them in the Music Boosters video archives (click here).
