The recipients of our annual scholarships are:
Madilyn Bessey - Westbrook Music Boosters Scholarship
Ashton Kinney - George Bookataub* Memorial Scholarship
Claire Filiatrault - Jeff Smith** Memorial Scholarship
*George Bookataub was the Director of Music for the Westbrook Schools for almost 20 years. During his time in Westbrook he brought the band to the Rose Bowl Parade, Citrus Bowl Parade, and many other events. He was responsible for helping the students of Westbrook get nationwide acclamation.
**Jeff Smith designed and coached the drill for the Westbrook Marching Band from 2017-2023 and is a legendary band director who had a Hall of Fame career in Connecticut as the band director at Norwalk High School.
